Last year was last year.
The question is, what temperature will you set in the new year?
With each new year comes a chance to refresh, renew, and refocus. In a world that is moving so quickly that if often jostles us back and forth and it’s hard to stay focused on all that is happening around us, our time is now. 2017 is here. The only way we begin to see more clearly is to step back and thoughtfully move forward.
The most effective teams, businesses, churches, schools, community groups, families or groups of any kind, are those who can consistently set a temperature, together. They are the leaders and team members who move from reactionary mode (remember the Thermometer vs. the Thermostat) and courageously commit to operating proactively in Thermostat mode.
The best teams have clarity on what temperature they are trying to set. Not just WHAT they are going to go do in the year ahead, but HOW they are committed to moving together. They take the time to make sure everyone involved is on the same page and understands what the temperature will look like and feel like.
The temperature they set (the good and the bad) permeates everything they do.
As you dream, vision and plan for the new year, make sure to gather the key people on your team, in your business, in your family to set your temperature.
